Dr. Christoper Gregg, Associate Rector
Dr. Gregg has been an instructor in the Introductory Biology Program since 2003 where he teaches freshman level biology classes. Dr. Gregg has been recognized for excellence in teaching multiple times here at LSU. He was awarded the Tiger Athletic Foundation Teaching award in 2007 and the George H. Deer Distinguished Teaching Award and Tiger Athletic Foundation College Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2008. Additionally, he was named a National Academies Education Fellow in the Life Sciences for 2005 – 2006 by virtue of his participation in the 2005 National Academies Summer Institute on Undergraduate Education in Biology.
Dr. Gregg has also been actively involved with several faculty development programs. These programs include Project Science II (a development workshop for middle school teachers run through the Gordon A. Cain Center for Literacy in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Scientific Teaching, Assessment, and Resources (STAR, a National Science Foundation funded workshop on teaching methods for college faculty). Dr. Gregg has worked with Residential Life since 2005 as a Faculty Friend and an Instructor for Residential College classes and he looks forward to being a part of the Basic Sciences Residential College.
