Make a Donation
Your contribution to the College of Basic Sciences is a tangible symbol of appreciation for the role LSU played in preparing you for your career. Regardless of the amount, we deeply appreciate your support. All donations are tax deductible, count toward the Forever LSU campaign, and qualify for TAF points.

To donate online, visit LSU Foundation-How to Give. For information on making a gift of stock, visit LSU Foundation-Gift of Stock. If you wish to speak to someone in the College's Alumni and Development office, contact us.

For the LSU College of Basic Sciences, the Forever LSU Campaign is about people. Our campaign goals center on providing the best opportunities for our faculty and students. The four pillars described below compose the framework that supports a successful college. These opportunities can be significantly impacted by private contributions.
Annual Fund Giving
Annual Fund Giving provides essential dollars used to initiate new programs, fund current activities, and provide flexibility for meeting student and faculty needs.
Student Support
The best undergraduate and graduate students are heavily recruited by the top universities. Our goal is to successfully compete for Louisiana’s best and brightest students and to attract outstanding talent from across the nation. We also strive to provide nationally competitive programs and experiences so that no Louisiana student must leave the state to find better educational opportunities. These include:
Endowed and Non-endowed undergraduate scholarships
Endowed and Non-endowed graduate stipends and fellowships
Student travel funds
Faculty Support
The College’s faculty provides the foundation for maintaining our outstanding educational and research programs. Therefore, the ability to attract and retain a world-class faculty is of central importance to achieving the National Flagship Agenda. Endowed chairs and professorships bring great distinction and provide discretionary funds crucial to supporting academic excellence. The State of Louisiana Board of Regents Support Fund (BRSF) provides a 40% match for certain gifts, leveraging the private donation.
Endowed chairs in Basic Sciences (or a specific department)
Endowed professorships in Basic Sciences (or a specific department)
Facilities
Scientific discovery is dependent upon having access to appropriate and modern learning environments. The availability of first-rate facilities is a statement to faculty, students, and the national and international research community that LSU is serious about its commitment to quality instruction and research. The College is currently implementing several facility-related projects, including:
Addition of floors to the new Choppin Annex Building
Upgrading research labs, teaching labs, and other instructional facilities
New equipment purchases
