There
are over 300 registered student organizations at LSU.
These organizations provide opportunities for students
to develop leadership skills and enrich their college
experience. Medical and Dental Schools are looking
for students who are actively involved in their campus
and community. Through involvement in campus organizations
students become more well-rounded and more aware of
their personal strengths. There are clubs for every
interest and belief system. Find an organization that
interests you and get involved.
Links are provided for the Pre-Health
Professions Student Organizations sponsored by the
College of Basic Sciences. These organizations are
focused specifically on providing educational opportunities
for students interested in medical/dental careers.
These clubs tour the local medical/dental schools,
provide speakers from the medical/dental field, meet
with Deans of Admissions from professional schools
and provide students with shadowing and practical
experience opportunities in the medical/dental environment
A complete list of campus organizations
at LSU can be found at the Center for Student Leadership
