The majority of scholarships available at LSU are administered through the LSU Office of Student Aid and Scholarships. New students, as soon as they are admitted to LSU, are automatically considered for university-wide scholarships.

Most colleges at LSU, including Basic Sciences, have additional scholarships specifically for students majoring in that college. Usually these college scholarships are for upperclassmen, but not exclusively.
