The College
of Basic Sciences provides academic advising through a network
of faculty members in each department. Faculty advisors
are trained to answer your questions on any of the College's
majors or to research information if they do not have it
on-hand at the time you visit them. For a schedule of faculty
advisors, stop by room 338 Choppin Hall or call the number
below.
Assistant Dean
Martha Cedotal, Assistant
to the Dean Karla Lemoine,
and Counselors Ashley Junek
and Robby Bowen are the Basic
Sciences staff members in the Dean's Office who advise students
and coordinate all activities for the Student Services division.
They serve as the College's primary advisors and work with
the faculty advisors that they have trained to help those
students in specialized degree programs and students entering
their senior year including, degree audits, and the Preprofessional
Evaluation Committee assisting students applying to Professional
schools. For more information on academic questions, contact
the Basic Sciences academic advising staff at (225) 578-4200
