Dr. Guillermo Ferreyra, Interim Dean and Alumni Professor of Mathematics
Dean Guillermo Ferreyra was named interim dean of the College of Science in December of 2012. Ferreyra also serves as the associate dean for Science Education where he oversees the college's math and science education program, particularly enrollment in the GeauxTeach and Masters of Natural Science programs.

Dr. John Lynn, Associate Dean, Academic Services and George C. Kent Professor of Biological Sciences
Associate Dean John Lynn oversees Student Services in the College of Science. He is responsible for academic programs, student advising, and summer school course management.

Dr. Richard Kurtz, Associate Dean, Research, and Professor of Physics & Astronomy
Dr. Kurtz is responsible for reviewing proposals, budget management, and oversight of business services and College of Science facilities. He is also a tenured professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy.

Martha Cedotal, Sr. Assistant Dean, Academic Services
Mrs. Cedotal directs the activities of the three counselors and the assistant to the dean in the Student Services Division of the college. She is responsible for all programs and services administered by student services including the commencement ceremony and the Choppin Honors Convocation. She also serves on several University academic committees to help further the College's curricula.

Sara Marchiafava, Sr. Assistant Dean, Finance and Administration
As the chief fiscal officer for the College of Science, Ms. Marchiafava manages the business affairs for the College and is operations manager in the Dean's Office. She is responsible for managing all personnel and financial matters including the Machine Run Budget (MRB), salary savings, external funding, and travel for the entire College ensuring that all state, University, and College policies and procedures are followed. In addition, she is the College's key contact for promotion and tenure and sabbatical requests.
